From wardrobe staples to those finishing touches, our buyers have revealed their favourite, go-to style tips they use themselves as well as in our collections!
Lucy - Jersey buyer
“Owning a versatile dress is a wardrobe must! Our cotton jersey dress is a perfect example, designed in a t-shirt style. Or our beautiful abstract print dress. Style either dress with a scarf, bracelet and heels for an instantly glamorous look or with flat sandals for a casual outfit. They can even be worn with wellies on a country walk!”

Sarah - Woven's buyer

“My best style tip is to ensure you have your ‘essentials’ that you can dress up or pair down with ease! Our navy trousers are definitely one of those key pieces, for a smart look pair with our beautiful multi-coloured tweed jacket or for a softer appearance, with our new style blouson jacket”.

“All of our blouses in this collection look great on their own buttoned up, tucked in or out. But you can add versatility to a blouse (as well as warmth) by wearing a tshirt underneath”.

“If you have an occasion but don’t want to buy a one-off outfit that you feel you won’t wear again, perhaps try our coordinating navy and white printed skirt and jacket! Match together for an eye-catching ensembles at your event and then pair separately (with those key navy trousers or a navy v-neck top) at a later date!”

Emily - Activewear buyer
“Dress up a comfortable sweatshirt with a pair of leggings or jeans for a simple, relaxed and chic outfit! The soft colouring and polka dot pattern of this piece also makes it wonderfully adaptable for draping around your shoulders on chillier evenings in the summer”.

Michelle - Knitwear and accessories buyer
“I love “tying” a look together! Try wrapping a scarf around a hat to create a care-free coordinated summer accessory, for an example see our peony scarf and Italian straw hat combination”.

“A lot of the scarves I select in Spring/Summer are very multi functional for the season. They can be worn as a cover up, elegantly draped around the shoulders as well as a conventional scarf, take a look at our stunning Italian woven scarf to see how a slight alternation of styling can make a huge difference to the whole ensemble!”

“You can also add new life to a handbag by tying your scarf around the handles for a lovely vibrant colour boost”!

Jane - Managing Director
“For me, there are three wardrobe essentials! My number one is a classic white top, it’s an instant ‘pick me up’ to make you feel good. Whether its a white t-shirt, vest or light jumper, white goes with everything especially in a summer wardrobe and looks brilliant partnered with blues”.

Kimono jackets are also a great style option. As an easy throw on piece they instantly cover up and transform and I feel they’re perfect for those of us who want a modest but generous look. Ours is brightly coloured with vibrant embroidery and will effortlessly transcend your look”!

“Lastly, I agree with Michelle, a scarf can add a fabulous highlight to a casual outfit! Smaller scarves that tie around the neck can provide a wonderful pop of colour while long, fluid scarves that effortlessly fold and drape provide an interesting alternative to a necklace! Some of our scarves are made from the same fabric as our skirts or trousers which beautifully link a top to a bottom piece creating a stunning, considered ensemble”.
