With the bank holiday weekend fast approaching, what better place to visit than our hometown of Cheltenham? Filled with Regency architecture, award-winning restaurants and an abundance of renowned events, there is plenty to see and do.
Catch a show: in the stunning Everyman Theatre or take a tour behind the scenes and appreciate its magnificent decor.
For a spot of shopping: Cheltenham has much more to offer than the usual high street fare. Montpellier and the Suffolks boast a large variety of independent stores and boutiques, with something for everyone.
A bite to eat: an award-winning seafood restaurant, Purslane, is tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the high street. Family-run and specialising in the freshest, sustainably-caught seafood and local, seasonal produce, this restaurant is sure to please.

What to wear: smart, versatile and comfortable, this tweed-style Herringbone Jacket is the perfect option for the changeable weather. Pair with comfortable trousers or a skirt and finish a soft scarf on cooler days to add a pop of colour to your ensemble.
For the adventurous: enjoy a thrilling day out at the races, spectating beautiful horses, surrounded the stunning vista of the Cotswold hills. With several meetings a year, you can enjoy the races in a relatively more relaxed environment outside of race week.
A well-earned beverage:  located in the quaint area of Tivoli, the aptly named Tivoli pub is an ideal place to quench your thirst in delightful surroundings. We highly recommend their sticky toffee pudding, which is surprisingly light and fruity; an indulgent treat that is worth every bite.
Put your feet up: at the UK's oldest literature festival, where world-famous authors and celebrities descend for nearly two weeks of literary events across the town in October. This year it hosts talks by Alexander McCall Smith, HRH Princess Michael of Kent, Mary Berry and Victoria Derbyshire to name but a very few.
Absorb some local history: Head to The Wilson Museum and Art Gallery, named after Edward Wilson, the Antarctic explorer. Featuring fascinating displays of costumes, furniture and much more, this museum reveals Cheltenham's history and also hosts touring artwork exhibitions (currently Queen Victoria in Paris). Immerse yourself in an afternoon of art and culture.
Don't forget to take a stroll through the beautiful Pitville Park and visit the Pump Room, where you can take the waters that made this town what it is today!
