In the depths of wintry January, we all need something to look forward to, so why not take a trip away and explore somewhere new?

We recommend a trip to the Isle of Anglesey for its abundant wildlife, stunning, unspoilt, landscapes and its wealth of history.

What to wear: Packing for a weekend away is quite a feat as your wardrobe needs to cover all weathers and activities. Luckily, we've handpicked the most versatile pieces from our Early Spring collection to make that task a little easier. These pieces tick all the boxes as they are comfortable, stylish and smart. The Quilted Jersey Jacket is a lovely warm layer with a full lining and useful pockets that can easily be dressed up with the Silk Neckerchief, featuring a dramatic floral print that tones well with the outfit and adds a touch of spring. Layer under this the Lambswool Jumper, which is beautifully soft and warm and a flattering shade. The Textured Trousers are a must for your ensemble as they have a delightful mini check pattern and waistband elastication with belt loops, guaranteeing a smart appearance with the comfort of stretch for all those activities you want to fit into your weekend. Finally, no outfit is complete without this Leather Handbag, crammed full of zipped compartments and pockets, which make it so useful for packing all your day trip essentials.

Absorb some local history:
Visit Plas Newydd, a National Trust property that features a beautiful wall mural by Rex Whistler and discover the extravagant and colourful past of its inhabitants (The 5th Marquess of Anglesey, Henry Cyril Paget, is well worth a read).

A well earned beverage:
Make your way to The White Eagle pub in Rhoscolyn for coastal views, an inviting atmosphere and a thirst-quenching drink. End your visit with a walk along the nearby Rhoscolyn beach.

A bite to eat:
Visit South Stack Cafe, which is located close the lighthouse and is in an RSPB reserve. Sample some delicious bara brith, whilst appreciating the stunning views and observing the local wildlife! What better way to spend an afternoon?

For the adventurous:
If you feel like getting back to nature and in need of a long walk with stunning scenery then look no further than Llanddwyn Island. It is a mile walk from Newborough Beach but well worth it for the views of Snowdonia across the sea. Just make sure you check the tide as it is inaccessible at high tide.

For a spot of shopping:
We highly recommend Beaumaris, a quaint, medieval town with the feel of a Victorian seaside resort that boasts a large array of art, antique and craft shops, as well as plenty of cafes and restaurants to fuel your shopping. Make sure you visit the castle whilst you are there!

We hope we've inspired you to explore this lovely island!
